Can I use a large dog cage for a ferret cage?

Ok, so I used to have a 90 pound golden retriever. The cage is large, or extra large. I know you can’t keep a ferret in a cage forever, but i need a cage for when I’m not around or am sleeping. So can i use the dog cage?

Yes. Just get a hammock and toys, and your ferret will be fine.

Absoloutley. That will work wonderful. It’ll be paradise for your little ferret. But make sure you get a hammock, toys, appropriate food and water containers, and a couple towels. Oh and litter box.

It depends how large the wire spacing is. Is there a chance the ferret could get a leg or head caught in the spacing? If it’s 1-2 inches yes, if larger no. To much of a chance getting injured. Ferrets like to climb cages.
